Our Employee Spotlight series highlights a new Waldner’s team member each month. As a fourth-generation, family-operated, women-owned company with more than 140 employees across three office locations, Waldner’s is built on the talent, dedication, and experience of our people. Together, we support one another and deliver the highest level of service to our clients.

Our employees come from a wide range of backgrounds, bringing diverse perspectives, unique skills, and a rich mix of experiences to everything we do. This series is designed to give you a closer look at the motivated, talented, and engaged individuals who make up the Waldner’s team, beyond the job title and on a more personal level.

This month’s Employee Spotlight is on Account Manager, Vinny Lambroia! We asked him a series of fun questions in a Q&A format, read below!

How did you get started in this industry & what has your journey been like so far?

I have a degree in design and first interviewed at Waldner’s right out of college. At the time, I chose not to take the position and instead accepted a role as a designer/draftsman and project manager at a small, high-end kitchen studio in Garden City, Poggenpohl German kitchens.

When that firm closed, I interviewed at Waldner’s again and joined the company in the design department. From there, I moved into project management and eventually into account management.

“What is a notable project you’ve worked on?”

Over the past 38 years, I’ve worked on many notable projects. One that truly stands out is the Northfork Bank Headquarters in Melville, NY. This project marked the first installation of a floor-to-ceiling Montage system.

In addition, it featured fully custom executive furniture from Steelcase’s Wigand custom wood factory. The scope included eight floors across two buildings, outfitted with Series 9000 and Kick workstations, floor-to-ceiling Montage, and custom millwork throughout.

“What are 3 words you would use to describe yourself?”

I would describe myself as sensitive, sarcastic, and funny.

“What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?”

I love playing music, Italian cars, gardening, and taking care of my Koi pond! In addition, I sing in the Rock Voices Choir.

“What is something you can’t live without?”

Music!

“What do most people not now about you?”

I attend a music camp every summer in upstate NY and have played with Tony Levin and Adrian Belew. I also belong to two vintage Italian car clubs, Alfa Romeo and FIAT.

“What gets you up in the morning?”

The promise of pizza!
