In honor of women’s history month, Waldner’s is celebrating the strong female leaders in our industry who are changing the state of the corporate pipeline for female representation in the workplace.

Being a woman-owned business, Waldner’s recognizes the importance of stepping up to support employee wellbeing and continuing the work required for a workplace where all feel valued.

To kick off Women’s History Month on International Women’s Day, our first highlight is on Meredith Waldner Stern, President of Waldner’s.

Proudest moment in your career journey

“In 2015 we transitioned from a typical organizational chart leadership style to a flattened leadership team consisting of the Vice Presidents across all the departments. This change increased the inclusion and meaningful input of these leaders across all areas of our organization.  Seven years later, that outstanding team continues to grow and to play a crucial role in our growth and success.”

Biggest accomplishment in our industry

“Overcoming the obstacles of Covid-19 and despite the challenges, increasing our market share significantly. We not only stayed strong during this unprecedented pandemic, but a recent annual industry survey reflects that our performance rose to the highest level (98% likelihood to recommend). That exceptional feedback from our clients is what makes me the most proud.”

Advice to women in the workplace

“Connect with other business leaders; both women and men. For me, I joined WBENC (The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council) and attend their events locally and annual business conference as well as YPO which is an organization of Presidents. I’ve learned so much from hearing about the experiences of other leaders, and I consistently take many of their great ideas back to my own business.”

Waldner’s will continue to celebrate women’s achievements and recognize the women leaders who are driving the progress!
